XRP Rallies 5% On ETF News: What Is Going On?

XRP (CRYPTO: XRP) is rallying on the heels of major ETF developments and a social media post from Donald Trump, which sparked rumors about Ripple's potential involvement in crypto reserves.

What Happened: The SEC has acknowledged Spot XRP ETF filings from CoinShares, CBOE, and BitwiseInvest, while Brazil's SEC equivalent approved the first-ever spot XRP ETF by Hashdex.

More Crypto Online highlighted that a break above $2.754 would confirm a strong uptrend. However, he warns that a retracement beyond the 78.6% Fibonacci level ($2.835) would invalidate this scenario.

CrediBULL Crypto advises caution, noting XRP was rejected at local highs, suggesting a potential dip to $2.20 or even $1.77 before the next leg up. Despite short-term corrections, the high-timeframe trend remains bullish.

Statistics: Crypto analyst Ali Martinez reported that whales purchased 150 million XRP in the past 48 hours, sparking speculation of an upcoming price rebound.

Coinglass data shows XRP options volume spiked 152.5% in the past 24 hours, while options open interest moved higher by 14%.

Open interest for the altcoin was up 5.5% to $4 billion.

XRP liquidations in the past 24 hours totaled $7.09 million, with $5.05 million in short liquidations--indicating traders betting against XRP were squeezed.

Community News: Following Trump's post, the SEC acknowledged the CoinShares Spot XRP ETF, alongside CBOE and BitwiseInvest's filings.

Fox Business journalist Eleanor Terrett noted that WisdomTreeFunds and CanaryFunds are yet to receive acknowledgment.

Meanwhile, Brazil's Hashdex XRP spot ETF became the world's first XRP ETF, officially registered with the Brazil SEC.
