Display Size, Design, And Build

The iPhone 16 Pro features a 6.3-inch display, an upgrade from the 6.1-inch screen on the iPhone 15 Pro.

While both iPhones feature an OLED display with ProMotion technology, Apple has brought down the minimum brightness on the iPhone 16 Pro to 1 nit, which should help in improving the battery life even when always-on display is enabled.

Processing Power

The iPhone 16 Pro is powered by the A18 Pro chip, which offers improved performance and efficiency over the A17 Pro in the iPhone 15 Pro.

This new chipset is built on a 3nm process, promising better thermal management and battery efficiency, resulting in a 15% increase in CPU speed and a 20% improvement in GPU tasks.

The iPhone 16 Pro also comes with a significant improvement in hardware-accelerated ray tracing, which is now twice as fast. It makes the lighting and reflections and more realistic when playing games. The latest model also has a 16-core Neural Engine also has 17% more memory bandwidth, making AI tasks faster.

An important upgrade in the iPhone 16 Pro is the introduction of a 5X telephoto camera, replacing the 3X zoom of the 15 Pro.

Wireless charging speeds have also seen a boost from 15W to 25W, offering a considerably faster charging experience when paired with a charger that supports 30W or higher charging speeds.

The iPhone 16 Pro supports Wi-Fi 7 and features a Snapdragon X75 modem, improving connectivity options compared to the iPhone 15 Pro’s Wi-Fi 6E and Snapdragon X70 modem.

Apple Intelligence

Apple Intelligence will be offered in beta on all iPhone 16 models, as well as the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, with Siri and device language set to U.S. English, as part of an iOS 18 update this fall.
